I love the Back to Black Designer Series Paper and think they are wonderful accents for your handmade greeting cards!  Check out the beautiful designs:

black and white greeting cards

I used this paper as inspiration for my most recent card challenge for the members of my team of Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators.  I send them supplies for two cards and they can use as much or as little as they want and add their own supplies.  If they send me one card back, they are entered into a drawing for a chance to win all the cards 🙂  I’ve added some of their submissions to my Keenan Kreations Facebook page and you can view them at:  https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.588945877909630.1073741836.154920527978836&type=3

I was inspired to create this card using the Back to Black Designer Series Paper and the Celebrate Today stamp set (with matching framelits):

back to black balloon 1

  • Stamps:  Celebrate Today, From My Heart
  • Ink:  Black Memento Ink, Daffodil Delight Blendabilities
  • Paper:  Daffodil Delight, Whisper White, Basic Black, Back to Black Designer Series Paper
  • Accessories:  Daffodil Delight Seam Binding, Dimensionals, Gift Card Envelope Die, Balloon Framelits

Black is a great accent color, especially when paired with a bright color like Daffodil Delight.  I’ll be honest, I chose Daffodil Delight because I wanted to use the Daffodil Delight Seam Binding – doesn’t it make the prettiest bow?!

I colored the paper for the balloon with Daffodil Delight Blendabilities to create an ombre’ look.  And that brings me to a disappointing update.  Stampin’ Up! has recently announced they are no longer carrying this product line due to an issue with the manufacturer that could not be resolved.

If you have Blendabilities  and they are working fine, continue to enjoy using them on your projects.  If you have any problems, please contact your demonstrator or Stampin’ Up! directly and they will help you with a refund or exchange.

If you have purchased them but not received them (didn’t ship due to backorder), then Stampin’ Up! or your demonstrator will contact you regarding a refund or exchange.  If the backordered Blendabilities were a Sale-a-bration free item, you can choose a different Sale-a-bration item.  If they were free with Stampin’ Rewards (aka hostess benefits), then you can choose different product.  If they were a purchased item, then you can get a refund.

I hope you enjoyed today’s project and will be inpsired to give the Back to Black Designer Series Paper a try with your greeting cards!
