Embossed Christmas Card
Isn’t this embossed Christmas card simply elegant? It’s actually a very simple card but the gold elements – embossing, ribbon, cardstock – make it extra special.
The Brushed Gold cardstock is a thick, shimmery gold that is colored all the way through – no white center like other brands – and it’s sturdy enough without any extra layers. I stamped the stars and the greeting in Versamark and embossed with Gold Embossing Powder using the Heat Tool. After the stars were embossed, I die-cut them using the Stars Framelits and Big Shot. I like to use the Magnetic Platform when die-cutting with the Framelits but you could also use the Multi-purpose Platform. If you find the framelits aren’t staying in place on the Multi-purpose Platform, you can use a post-it-note to keep them from scooting around.
I wrapped the Gold Satin ribbon all the way around the card and tied a pretty knot in the front. If the ribbon goes around the front of the card, you have a spot on the inside to tuck in a little gift of cash, a check or a gift card.
The stars on this embossed Christmas card are popped up with Dimensionals. I chose to line up my stars but you could also offset them. I finished off the card with a Pearl added to the center of the top star.
