Quick and Easy greeting card from Stampin’ Up!
Do you need a quick and easy greeting card? Check out this bright and cheerful one using the new Sea Street stamp set and coordinating “Maritime” Designer Series Paper from Stampin’ Up!
I used a base of Whisper White cardstock (5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ and scored at 4 1/4″) and a strip of the “Maritime” Designer Series Paper (3″ x 5 1/2″). If you’re ever at a loss as to how to combine colors, simply start with a piece of Stampin’ Up! patterned paper and use those colors. For this card, the color scheme is Night of Navy, Real Red and Coastal Cabana.
This stamp set has several smaller images that fit perfectly with our punches. I stamped the images on Whisper White cardstock and then punched them out with the 1 1/4″ Circle Punch and then layered them onto cardstock punched with the 1 3/8″ Circle Punch. I added all of the punched and layered images to the front of the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The Real Red 1/8″ Taffeta Ribbon is added in two pieces. One piece is add to the bottom of the Maritime Designer Series Paper with a Glue Dot on each end. A separate piece of the ribbon is tied into a knot and add with a Glue Dot. This ribbon cuts very cleanly and the ends do not fray.
This quick and easy greeting card from Stampin’ Up! also has a matching envelope which is stamped with other images from the Sea Street stamp set . I also stamped the inside of the card:
The Whisper White cardstock is not as heavy as the colored cardstock so I still like to add another layer on the inside of the card to sturdy it up a bit. I’ve posted before about how much I love the clean look of mostly white cards, especially when paired with the vibrant colors of Stampin’ Up!’s designer series papers.
This card is also going to be the make-n-take project for Cottage Crafts on Monday, June 23rd. I’ve been showcasing a lot of flower stamps lately so I think they’ll enjoy a change of pace with this fun stamp set and the masculine colors and stripes of the Maritime paper.
I love creating quick and easy greeting cards and hope you enjoyed todays project using new products from Stampin’ Up!
