Cheerful Spring Card

Do you need a cheerful spring card to brighten someone’s day?  Check out this quick and easy one using the Petal Parade and Banner Blast stamp sets from Stampin’ Up!

Cheerful Spring Card

The little greenery image is from the Petal Parade stamp set which can be earned for free during Sale-a-bration.  I stamped it several times in Pear Pizzazz across the bottom of the Whisper White cardstock (3 1/4″ x 4 1/2″).  The other images from this set can be viewed below:

I used the little flower image from the Banner Blast stamp set (also a Sale-a-bration item) and stamped them a few times in Wisteria Wonder, Strawberry Slush and So Saffron on scrap Whisper White cardstock.  Here are the other images from the Banner Blast stamp set:

I was VERY pleasantly surprised to learn that the flower punch from the Bitty Punch Pack punched that flower out perfectly!  I added snippets of Dimensionals under the flowers to pop them up and randomly placed them on top of the greenery.

The greeting is from the A Dozen Thoughts stamp set and is stamped in Black Stazon.   This is one of my favorite greetings from that set.  I love the font and that the sentiment is perfect for sending a card “just because” 🙂  I didn’t want a big border of the Basic Black so I trimmed it to 3 3/8″ x 4 5/8″ which is just a “smidgen” larger than the Whisper White panel.  I add about 6 Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back and layered it to the Wisteria Wonder cardstock.

One of my customers is undergoing therapy for a knee injury and hasn’t been able to go home for a few months.  I hope this cheerful Spring card will lift her spirits and let her know her stamping friends miss her at class too!

Even though Monday is a holiday, I’ll be at Cottage Crafts in San Jose for the Monday make-n-take from 11:30-1:30.  If you are in the area, stop by and say “Hi!” and make this cheerful Spring card with me 🙂

  1. So glad you discovered the tip about the flower punch, dreaded thought of that much fussy cutting. Gorgeous card!

    • Thank you Fiona! I love to fussy-cut but probably wouldn’t have done that on this card – I do love punching and popping up 🙂
