Quick and Cute Valentine Card
Here’s a quick and cute Valentine card for one of my February Classes and I love that it does not use the traditional red or pink 🙂 I also think it may be one of the “happiest” cards I’ve made – I just love the bright colors and how could a bunch of heart balloons not make you happy? I also think this card would work for other sentiments too:
- Get Well Soon
- Happy Birthday
- Cheer Up
- Congratulations
Can you think of any other greetings for this card?
Do you notice how the hearts have a little dimension? I creased them right down the middle and added the White Baker’s Twine with a Glue Dot to the back, along that that crease. The Glue Dots are what’s securing the hearts to the card but I also added a snippet of a Dimensional to each side. I leave the backing on the Dimensional so it’s only sticking to the back of the hearts, it’s not sticking to the card. This little trick is also something I use to keep the butterfly wings propped up 🙂
I have a TON of the Brights Designer Series Paper Stack and am determined to use up my papers before the end of May so I’ll be making extras of these cards after my classes next month. I used the heart shape from the “Hearts a Flutter” Framelits and die-cut 3 of the papers at a time with the Big Shot. Once all the hearts with strings were attached to the Whisper White cardstock (3 3/4″ x 5″), I used another piece of the White Baker’s Twine to tie a bow around all the strings and then trimmed the ends. I used another Glue Dot under the bow to keep it in place.
Here are the supplies for this quick and cute Valentine card:
Stamps:Â Teeny Tiny Wishes
Ink:Â Tempting Turquoise
Paper:Â Tempting Turquoise, Whisper White, Brights Designer Series Paper Stack
Accessories:Â White Baker’s Twine, Dimensionals, Hearts a Flutter Framelits, Big Shot, Glue Dots
This card really makes me happy – I may have to keep one for myself and keep it on my desk 🙂  Would you like to have one of these cards? Just leave a comment below telling me one thing that really makes you over-the-moon happy and the first 5 people will receive this card from me 🙂  I hope you’re one of the lucky ones to receive this quick and cute Valentine!
