Easy Any Occasion Card

I created this easy any occasion card for my make-n-take at Cottage Crafts on Monday.  I love cards that are versatile and not occasion specific and think this one is also bright and cheerful 🙂

Stamps:  Flower Shop, Oh Hello

Ink:  Baked Brown Sugar, Coastal Cabana, Real Red

Paper:  Real Red, Whisper White, Fresh Prints Designer Series Paper Stack, Silver Glimmer Paper

Accessories:  Pansy Punch, Decorative Label Punch, Bitty Butterfly Punch, Dimensionals, Rhinestones, Coastal Cabana Ruffle Stretch Ribbon

This easy any occasion card was inspired by one I saw at http://thestampcamp.com/blog/12/29/petite-petals-and-flower-shop/ by Glenda Calkins.  I changed the orientation, added the Coastal Cabana Ruffle Stretch Ribbon and used a different greeting.  Sometimes I case (copy and share everything) a card exactly but more times than not, I change it up a bit.  When I see a card I like, sometimes it’s the color combination that inspires me and sometimes it’s the layout.  I also don’t have to use the same stamp set. With the card above, you could easily substitute a different flower set and still have a similar look.

The designer Series Paper strip is from the “Fresh Prints” Designer Series Paper Stack in the Occasions catalog.  Do you have the Occasions catalog?   You can view it online at:  http://su-media.s3.amazonaws.com/media/catalogs/NA/20140103_Occasions_NA/20140103_Occasions_en-US.pdf or you can request one from me 🙂

How do you like the ruffle stretch ribbon?  You can purchase it in any of the 2013-2015 In Colors:

The best way I’ve found to add this ribbon to the edge of cardstock or designer series paper is to use Sticky Strip.  I think Glue Dots would also work but Sticky Strip is my preference.  You also want to make sure you don’t stretch the ribbon when adhering it with the Sticky Strip to keep the ruffles nice and even.

I hope you enjoyed this easy floral card that’s perfect for any occasion and will find time to create some of your own 🙂
