File Folder Christmas Card

Here’s the finished File Folder Christmas card I promised from yesterday’s post:

Be honest, did I overdo it on the sparkle?  😉  I LOVE the fun designs of the “Season of Style” Designer Series Paper.  While I do like non-traditional colors for the holidays, there’s also something comforting about traditional reds and greens too, right?  The little striped strip across the bottom is 1″ x 5 1/2″ and the little slivers of the Silver Glimmer Paper measures 1/8″ x 5 1/2″.  The best way to apply those tiny strips is with the Tombow Multipurpose Adhesive.  I glued down the 1″ striped strip first, then added a thin line of the Tombow glue just above and below the striped strip.  Press the sliver of Silver Glimmer Paper onto the glue and push it right up against the striped strip.  Press down for 3-5 seconds and you’re good to go 🙂

The ornaments are from the Christmas Collectibles stamp set which comes as part of a bundle with the matching Christmas Ornament Punch (save 15% with the bundle!)  Here’s a complete list of supplies used to created the File Folder Christmas card:

xmas file folder inside

I like having my file folder cards open from the top down, kinda fun and different than the usual  card.  The lower part of the inside of the card is left white for a personal message and maybe a small family photo 🙂  Oh, I just thought of something.  Instead of the stamped ornaments on the inside of the card, you could use adorable family photos punched with the Christams Ornament Punch!  Wouldn’t that be too cute?!

Remember that you can purchase Stampin’ Up! supplies from me directly (phone 408-377-4942 or email or you can place your order at my online store.  Just go to and click on the “shop now” link at the top right.  If you use the online hostess code (SGTABDTJ is the code for October), then you’ll be entered into a drawing for a hostess only stamp set 🙂

I hope you enjoyed the File Folder Christmas card project and are inspired to create your own!
