Easy Floral Greeting Card
I chose this easy to create floral greeting card for the make-n-take at Cottage Crafts tomorrow:
I know it’s October but here in California, it’s still quite warm and VERY sunny (I still have tomatoes, strawberries and peppers growing!) so I couldn’t resist making this card. Most of my customers know I am drawn to floral stamp sets and I really think floral greeting cards work for any time of the year and they also work well for a variety of occasions.
Now I’m not always thrilled with a card right out the gate and this one went through a few subtle changes before I felt it was “just right” 😉
The first card started out pretty well but I felt like it was missing something and decided to add the three little butterflies punched from the Silver Glimmer Paper with the Bitty Butterfly Punch. I liked that a lot better but the more I looked at it, the more I thought the designer series paper on the bottom was a smidgen too big (4″ x 2 1/2″). The final one has the designer series paper only 1/4″ smaller (4″ x 2 1/4″) but I feel like it’s more balanced and the greeting and center butterfly aren’t as squished with the flowers.
Did I mention I’m a Virgo? 😉 I just can’t leave a card alone until I’m satisfied that’s it’s just about perfect – in my eyes, of course! Here are the supplies used to create this easy floral greeting card:

Did you know that Stampin’ Up! lists all the colors used in their designer series paper in the catalogs? It’s like having your own private “color coach” helping you choose which colors look great together! Even if you don’t use the designer series papers in your project, you have a great tool to help you combine colors.
So what is one of your favorite color combinations? Leave me a comment below and I’ll randomly choose someone to receive a set of three easy floral greeting cards, including the one above 🙂
