Create File Folder Cards with the Envelope Punch Board!
I was able to create some cute File Folder Cards with Stampin’ Up!’s new Envelope Punch Board! I made one for a birthday:
I LOVE to add a little sparkle to my cards and Stampin’ Up! makes it easy with Rhinestones, Silver ribbon and Silver Glimmer paper 🙂 I did “fussy cut” the flower stem but that’s actually not difficult as long as you use the Paper Snips and remember to leave a little border around the image when trimming. I added the flower stem to the front of the card with Glue Dots and the flowers with Dimensionals. I also lightly curled the edges of the petals with a bone folder.
I left the bottom of the card (when opened) blank to allow room for a personal message. You can also tuck a gift card, check or cash under the ribbon for the lucky birthday person 🙂
Stamps: Field Flowers, Flower Shop, Simply Sketched, Remembering Your Birthday
Ink: Black Stazon
Paper: Very Vanilla, Modern Medley Designer Series Paper, Silver Glimmer Paper
Accessories: Envelope Punch Board, Lg Oval punch, Scallop Oval punch, Dimensionals, Pansy Punch, Labels Collection Framelits, Bitty Butterfly punch, Silver Taffeta ribbon, Rhinestones
and one for Halloween:
I have to admit I was a little creeped out by the bats on the Witches’ Brew Designer Series paper initially but I’ve since warmed up to them!
And no, there is not a punch for the little skulls but it’s a very easy trim with our Paper Snips (remember to leave a border around the image when trimming too :-). You have room at the bottom of the card to write your own message and can tuck a flat candy under the ribbon for a special treat!
Stamps: Halloween Hello, Halloween Bash
Ink: Pumpkin Pie, Black Stazon
Paper: Very Vanilla, Witches’ Brew Designer Series Paper
Accessories: Lg Oval punch, Scallop Oval punch, Decorative Label punch, Dimensionals, Rhinestones, Summer Starfruit Stitched Satin Ribbon, Envelope Punch Board
I should probably warn you: File Folder cards are VERY addicting! It’s almost impossible to make just one 🙂 I have both of my cards in the “landscape” position but you can also rotate them and have them open from the right like a more traditional card.
I’ll post a step by step photo tutorial in the next day or so to show you how easy it is to create these too-cute file folder cards 🙂
I wanna make one too. Will be looking for your instructions. Yours are really NICE!
Looking forward to your instructions. Would make great Christmas gift card holders.
