Fun Halloween Banner!
I’ve always liked the look of banners and think they are a fun way to decorate for the holidays but never made one before. It was a lot of fun! The above banner used the following supplies:
Build a Banner Simply Created Kit #133507, $19.95 (includes 18 5″ x 7″ blank canvas pennants, 6 each of 3 designs, 9′ of jute twine, alphabet and image stencils, Stampin’ Spritzer)
Halloween Banner Simply Created Accessory Kit #132698 $9.95 (includes paper and centers for 4 rosettes, 3 glitter die-cut accents, Basic Black 1/8″ Taffeta ribbon, Basic Black/Basic Grey 1/2″ Striped Satin Ribbon, Pumpkin Pie Seam Binding, 5 black Vintage Faceted Buttons, 5 Summer Starfruit buttons)
I used a “temporary adhesive” spray on the back of the stencils so they would stick to the banners before spritzing them with Pumpkin Pie ink (fill the Spritzer with rubbing alcohol and squeeze in the reinker). You’ll also want to use a hot glue gun for assembling the different pieces.
I chose to add a little extra sparkle to this fun Halloween banner and added the following items too:
- Silver Glimmer paper (punched with the 1 3/4″ Scallop Circle punch and retired Bitty Bat punch)
- Silver Sparkle Dazzling Details
Details for my banner class in September will be coming soon!
My banner is hanging from a mirror on the wall opposite our front door so it’s a cute, not too scary greeting for my guests right when they enter
So do you have a place in your home that would be perfect for a fun Halloween banner?
