Adding Dimension to Your Cards

Do you like adding dimension to your cards?  Well the easiest way is using Stampin’ Up!’s Dimensionals – the name kinda says it all, right 😉

On this card (Monday’s make-n-take at Cottage Crafts) it’s pretty standard to pop up flowers with Dimensionals but have you ever considered popping “under” the greeting?

Most of the time, I’ll use Dimensionals to pop up a greeting, but with this card, I felt like we already had enough elements popped up and thought it would be interesting to have the greeting recessed.

The Dimensionals were added under the Island Indigo cardstock layer and the greeting was stamped on the Whisper White cardstock underneath.

Other ways to add dimension to your cards:

– slightly curl the edges of the flowers with the Bone Folder
– add the leaves with only one Glue Dot to the stem so the leaves don’t lay perfectly flat
– use Glimmer Paper and Rhinestones for added sparkle
– stamp or wheel a pretty background to one of your cardstock layers

What are some of your favorite tips for adding dimension to your cards?
