Wildflower Meadow Birthday card

This was a make-n-take for Cindy and her guests at her workshop this Saturday – it was a BIG hit!
The base of the card is Pear Pizzazz even though the stems are colored with an Old Olive marker.  It’s OK not to be so “matchy-matchy” sometimes 🙂  The flowers are colored with the Primrose Petals marker and the image is stamped on Whisper White cardstock.  We then embossed the image with the matching Wildflower Meadow Embossing Folder and then die-cut with the Ovals Framelits and Big Shot.  They got to try out the new Magnetic Platform too and everyone agreed it was awesome at holding the framelit in place.  Don’t you love the little silver butterfly?  See picture below for how the wings stay popped up:
The butterfly is punched from the Silver Glimmer Paper with the Bitty Butterfly Punch, folded in half to crease the middle and adhered to the card with a Glue Dot in the middle.  See the little Dimensional under the wing?  It’s a 1/2 Dimensional stuck to the underside of each wing with the paper backing left on.  The Glue Dot is what attaches the butterfly to the card – the Dimensionals just keep the wings from laying flat.
If you are in the San Jose area, please contact me if you’re interested in hosting your own workshop 🙂
Happy Stamping!
Brenda 🙂
