By the Tide (2013 Spring Mini sneak peek!)
I had my December meeting with my downline yesterday (pictures to follow) and this was my swap:
This is another new set from the upcoming Spring Mini catalog using a technique called “Emboss Resist”. Here’s the directions:
- Stamp the coral image in Versamark on Very Vanilla cardstock and emboss with White Embossing powder (remember to use the Embossing Buddy first!)
- Sponge River Rock ink across the bottom of the cardstock
- Sponge Baja Breeze ink across the rest of the cardstock
- Stamp the fish in River Rock
- Stamp the seahorse in Midnight Muse
- Stamp the anchor seal in Soft Suede
- Stamp the writing image in Baja Breeze
- Tear the right side of the paper
- Add a strip of Midnight Muse cardstock under the torn ege
- Paper Pierce the Midnight Muse cardstock strip
- Add Early Espresso Twine
- Layer to the front of folded Soft Suede cardstock
Stamps: By the Tide
Ink: River Rock, Baja Breeze, Soft Suede, Midnight Muse, Versamark
Paper: Soft Suede, Very Vanilla, Midnight Buse
Accessories: sponges, White Embossing Powder, Early Espresso Twine
I think I may add a greeting tied to the twine, still not sure.
Happy Stamping!
Brenda 🙂
I think a greeting tied to re twine would be perfect!
That was the first set I got on the pre-order 🙂 I’m so glad to have a card to copy now, thank you Brenda!
Fabulous card, Brenda. Love the colours you have used and the combination of embossing and sponging.
Thanks Judy! It is a fun card to make – will be a project at next month’s stamp camp. Hopefully my customers like it too 🙂
