"Dad’s Briefcase" mini scrapbook

Here’s a project for an upcoming class using the “Travel Journal” Designer Series paper and “Briefcase” On Board Books:

I sponged Night of Navy craft ink around the edges of the front and back covers first, let it dry and then added the paper with Glue Sticks. I used a heavy duty emery board to sand the edges. I also added the Jumbo eyelets to the front and back covers and some Twill Tape to tie it all together.

The “Briefcase” On Board Books come in a package of 8 (for only $4.95!) but I only used 2 for the front and back covers. The inside pages are Night of Navy cardstock with the corners rounded. I also used the 3″ x 3″ Mini Envelopes for pockets to hold journaling or more photos.

A couple of the pages used a strip of Jumbo Eyelets at the top to balance out the bulkiness of the Mini Envelopes at the bottom. I used the top part of our order forms (the part that gets ripped off and has a row of holes from one end to the other) to line up the Jumbo Eyelets :-)

It turned out nice, huh? I’m going to add pictures of our boys and give it to my husband for Father’s Day :-)
