Black Magic Cards

Look how cool these cards are – and I made them! I’d seen this technique before and even tried to demonstrate it at a downline meeting but it didn’t really speak to me until I saw this video:

Here’s what I came up with:

I used the White Gel pen to add the dots to the flower tips and also to highlight the centers of the flowers just above the stem. The White Gel Pen blended a little with the purple color underneatch to give it a pinkish tint. This color didn’t change right away so it was a nice surprise 🙂


They both use the “Kind & Caring Thoughts” Leve 3 Hostess stamp set. Both cards were stamped in White Craft ink on Basic Black cardstock. Heat set to speed up the drying and then color with the Watercolor Pencils. I pretty much followed the directions in the video, very easy and very fun. Can’t wait to try it with different bold image stamps 🙂
