Fancy Folds Class for July

Posted by on July 4, 2009 in Uncategorized | 0 comments

Here are the projects for my July Fancy Folds Class. The first one was inspired by Cambria Turnbow’s trifold card. There’s a great tutorial at

I have my card base cut to 4 1/4″ x 11″ and the layering pieces cut a smidgen smaller but otherwise the directions were the same.

Stamps: Razzle Dazzle, Define Your Life, Thank You Kindly, Simply Said
Ink: Pumpkin Pie, Melon Mambo, Crushed Curry, Rich Razzleberry
Paper: Rich Razzleberry, Whisper White, Razzleberry Lemonade DSP
Accessories: Modern Label punch, Baskets & Blooms die (for the scallop edge circle), 1 3/4″ Circle punch, Slit punch, 3/4″ Circle punch, dimensionals

I was reminded of this simple pocket fold when I visited Jan Tinklenberg’s blog and saw her sample here:
Stamps: Fundamental Phrases
Ink: Pretty in Pink
Paper: Tea Party DSP, Pretty in Pink, Barely Banana, Certainly Celery
Accessories: Dimensionals, Mini Glue Dots, White Taffeta ribbon, Simple Flower Embosslit, leaves Sizzlit (sorry, forgot the name 🙂

This fold is called a “joy card” – not really sure why it’s called that – and you can find a great tutorial at
Stamps: Cheep Talk, Animal Stories
Ink: Certainly Celery, So Saffron, Pretty in Pink, Almost Amythest
Paper: Tea Party DSP, Pretty in Pink, Almost Amythest, Whisper White
Accessories: 1″ and 1 1/4″ circle punches, Dimensionals
