Dannie’s Gift

Look what I got! I ran into Dannie Graves (check her out at http://danniesdesigns.typepad.com/) at the airport coming home from convention. I don’t know how I could have missed her during convention, there were only about 5,000 crazy demonstrators there 🙂 Anyway, we were on the same plane coming home and she had this gift for me! I met Dannie several years back and attended several of her group’s meetings for awhile (my upline is in Pleasanton and Dannie was right around the corner from me in San Jose). She’s an absolute doll and I could just kick myself for not getting a picture with her at the airport. My poor camera’s battery was almost dead but I probably could have taken at least one picture if I’d been thinking! You’ll see a beautiful photo of her on her blog but it really doesn’t capture how stunning she is in person. She’s married with 4 kids and looks like she’s still in high school – I’m not kidding!

Anyway, she’s promised a tutorial on her blog sometime soon so be sure and keep checking 🙂 If you haven’t already guessed, it’s a “Birthday Book” to keep track of birthdays (and other important occasions that repeat). Don’t you just LOVE the sponged and distressed rose on the cover?
Here you can see the inside pages (each one with a different designer series paper from “Bella Rose”) and the little pockets that hold the reminder cards for each month. (The photo in the background on the right is my “Maggie” 🙂

Here’s a view of the spine. Dannie gave me a brief overview of how to put it together but you’ll have to wait for the tutorial 🙂

Dannie, thank you, thank you, thank you! I absolutely love it 🙂

(oh, in the background on the right, you can see my other dog, Gigi 🙂

  1. Brenda, you are way too sweet. Thank you! I’m still working on the tutorial, but I’ll let you know when I have it done. It was great visiting with you. Thanks again! ~Dannie
