June Stamp Camp
The first card uses two retiring stamp sets: Blossoms Abound and Carte Postale. It was inspired by the card seen here http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/804086?cat=500&ppuser=18263 which was created by Leslie Miller. I changed a few things to keep it fairly simple for a camp project.
This card was a case of one of my own (that rarely happens!) that can be seen here http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/943342?cat=500&ppuser=2076. It uses the new “Fresh Cuts” set that’s available during June (a sneak peek from the new catalog
I love this card and am so sad “Unfrogettable” is retiring. I got the idea from LeeAnn and you can see her card here http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/528271?cat=5828&sorttime=all&sortby=v&way=desc You can also view a really cool tutorial by Dannie Graves which gives some tips for the film strip look here http://danniesdesigns.typepad.com/my_weblog/2008/03/happy-bird-day.html. The images are stamped on Watercolor paper (THE best paper to watercolor on) and layered on Green Galore. The film strip piece is 2 1/4″ wide and then I trimmed it down after I punched the edges with our “Spiral” punch (I think Dannie’s tutorial shares a tip on how to get the notches centered on the ends).
I’m trying to include more masculine cards at my camps and this one uses two retiring sets: “Noble Deer” and “Weathered” background stamp. I have a bazillion of those little anchors from Hodge Podge Hardware so I’m trying to use them up too The image is stamped in Chocolate Chip and colored in with chalks.
