"Smooshed" Wonderful You

This card was inspired by Beate’s Inspiration Challenge at http://beate.blogs.splitcoaststamper…mashed-leaves/.
I used a slightly different technique and brighter colors so it ended up not looking too much like the inspiration piece but that is where I started 🙂
I saw a “smooshing” technique on the Bermuda Cruis while watching old regionals on the SU! channel in our cabin. I’m sorry I don’t remember the demonstrator’s name but she had dark hair, very cute and lived a short while in Alabama (my home state) – does that sound like someone you know?
Anyway, you take craft ink (she used our spots, I just used our reinkers) and “smoosh” it between plastic sheets (she used our page protectors cut open, I used acetate sheets). Then you lay glossy cardstock (wrong sides together) and make a sandwich to transfer the ink to the cardstock. Peel them off and stamp as usual. She actually made really cool backgrounds and even embossed some with Irridescent Ice EP.
It was a little messy but very fun to play around with. There was a little excess ink so I blotted a lot of it off on scratch paper till I got the look I wanted.

  1. Wow, I love this card! Tech Junkies just had a different version of this in Feb/March. I made a card like this one with similar colors. I will try this method too!
