Here are the swaps from my group meeting last week. This one is from Caron. I met Caron on the plane going to convention a couple of years ago and discovered she lived near me in California. We hit it off and she started coming to my group meetings She’s moved a bit farther away and I don’t get to see her as much but she mailed her swaps in for the meeting – don’t you just love the Ginger Blossom DSP?
This card is from Tracy and uses the new set from the Occasions Mini, “Essence of Love”. I believe Tracy used one of our punches to make the scallop border. Stampin’ Up! announced on the cruise that the new catalog will have a straight scallop edge punch! Yeah! That should make our job a lot easier
This card is from Esther and is perfect for a wedding. She pulled the colors from our “Fall Flowers” DSP and added some paper-piercing, glitter and a rhinestone brad for added detail. The image is stamped on our textured cardstock and gives the dress a linen look, very pretty
This is definitely a spring card and was stamped by Shelly. The butterfly is cut out and just the wings are popped up for dimension. Every year I say I’m going to plant tulips in the fall but I keep forgetting. When I start seeing them pop up all around the neighborhood, I remember that I forgot! Maybe this year…
This was my swap and I was actually putting it together at our meeting while they did their make-n-take. How shameful is that? It’s stamped on Shimmery White (my most favorite cardstock ever), embossed with White Embossing Powder and watercolored with Classic inks (Groovy Guava, Bashful Blue, Sage Shadow). It was inspired by Karen Barber whose card can be viewed at http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/ga…amp_;way=desc
