Cased Embrace Life cards

I love all the samples using the “Embrace Life” set with the coordinating “Ginger Blossoms” designer series paper and had to case a couple:

Cased with changes from “nitestamper” whose card can be seen at http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/ga…2563?cat=12243

I stamped the flowers in Versamark on Ruby Red cardstock, embossed with Black Embossing Powder, then used a Q-tip to bleach out the images. I couldn’t quite get the bleaching to look as nice as the inspiration card so I added some watercoloring once the bleach dried. I really like layering the different punches for the sentiment.

Stamps: Embrace Life, All Holidays
Paper: Ginger Blossoms, River Rock, Ruby Red, Basic Black
Ink: Basic Black, Ruby Red, Bleach
Accessories: Black EP, River Rock double-stitched ribbon, black brads, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Punches (small oval, 1″ circle, designer label), Aquapainter

cased with slight changes from Andrea Walford whose card (and wonderful blog 🙂 can be seen at http://andreawalford.com/?p=445http://keenankreations.blogspot.com/

This is probably one of my favorite cards. I loved Andrea’s idea of stamping some images in black on the designer series paper.
