Girly Birthday Card

This was a fun card we did at Virginia and Vilcia’s workshop last weekend. The image is stamped with Black Stazon on Shimmery White and watercolored with the Aquapainter and Classic inks. You can’t tell from the picture but the image is pop up on dimensionals. Here are the supplies:

Stamps: Fun & Fast Notes, Sincere Salutations
Inks: Black Stazon, Regal Rose, Almost Amethyst
Paper: Basic Black, Almost Amethyst Prints, Almost Amethyst, Shimmery White
Accessories: Black gingham and Rose 5/8″ Grosgrain ribbons, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Aquapainter, Crystal Effects, Dazzling Diamonds glitter

With the color combo and glitter, it’s definitely a girly card :-)

I also wanted to show how I trimmed the stamps for this set. I like to separate the image and the sayings whenever possible so I can use them independently. For this one, there was enough space to cut them apart pretty easily. You do have to be careful to hold the scissors pretty level so you don’t “undercut” the stamps. I mounted the sayings on the end of the wood block with the sticker on the opposite side. The images are mounted in the center like normal. What’s also nice about this set is most of the sayings will fit within the Word Window punch. See the White label behind the stamp set name? It makes it MUCH easier to read, especially when you have a bunch stacked on top of each othe. It’s just an Avery address label adhered on the inside of the box.
